Garden Services

***Currently booking new consults for September 2024***

I have been working in the Austin organic garden world since 2007. My career began by working in one of Austin’s most recognized nurseries, The Natural Gardener . During my tenure there I attended classes in the Life Sciences at Austin Community College and became Permaculture certified through Austin Permaculture Guild.

After obtaining a degree in Spanish in 2012, I left Austin for extensive world travel, working on organic farms in Mexico and Japan as part of the WWOOF program. Returning to Austin in 2013, I’ve been self-employed as a gardener ever since. To further supplement my understanding of trees in particular, and to obtain a notable qualification, I undertook a course of study and passed the exam to become an ISA Certified Arborist® (TX-4532A) in 2019. Further, I became Oak Wilt Qualified by ISA in 2020, Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ) in 2022 and Wildfire Risk Reduction Qualified (WRRQ) in 2023.

I have a thorough understanding of most facets of garden design, installation and care for plants of the Austin area. Special attention is given to setting up landscapes to be low-water and low maintenance. As someone who cares deeply for the planet and is concerned about climate change and habitat loss, I see my job as a way to make a difference and the only way that can happen is for my projects to succeed.

I prefer to work intimately with my client’s landscapes, and often work alone. When help is required, I have access to a pool of the best, seasoned gardeners Austin has to offer.
